APRIL: a journey in photos.

i don't know if you guys are aware, but west valley(where i am a thriving businesswoman) is basically the WORST place to find healthy food-sandwiches, salads, what have you.
well, the heavens finally opened, and there is now a jimmy john's a stone's throw away.
ps. i just saw that a zupa's is in this same complex now. hip hip hooray!!!

tyler discovered that RMR holds races every two weeks for all the ATV/dirtbike enthusiasts for the chance to reach their dreams. guess what i'm doing every two weeks? they are actually really fun. you guys should come hang out with me!

our friends joey & cambi visited UT from AZ for their annual snowboarding trip/bowling tournament.

i wear my sunglasses at night...
i asked some of my favorite little gals to do my hair. it feels so good!
(the two little ones are my friend lexi's daughters. seriously they have me wrapped around their little fingers!)

little lady savannah and me

we met up with meg & adam for dinner and the piano bar. i've been wanting to go to one forever! can't wait to go again.

tyler is already sick of so many pictures. what will i do?
don't mind i am in need of some major color. goodbye 8 month winter!

for lexi's birthday a bunch of us went to the supercross (real live professional racing this time), and then to liquid joe's for an 80's tribute band. such a fun night!

it was totally snowing before the race! brrrr.

the spazmatics. a bunch of us ladies were dancing right in front of the stage.
too bad i still had thermals, a wool sweater, snowboarding socks, my wellies, and a beanie on(this part of our night was not exactly planned).
oh well. i sweat it out, and i loved it!
woo hoo he is looking right at me! totally made my night.
ps. this band member is will ferrel's twin, am i right?!

gettin' jiggy wit it.
no tyler is not on drugs.
good times april.
your %@*!$# weather will not be missed.

Holy butt I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted? Not because I have nothing to talk about, because let's be honest, I love to talk about myself:) jk but I do love talking.

-what has been going on with me?? Well tons of junk... tests, finals, homework... they are all related in case you are confused.

-Also it was my birthday last Saturday, which I still get giddy about every single year-like jumping up and down 3 weeks before the big day and possibly making up raps that go along with celebrating myself. Everyone celebrated accordingly. Tyler surprised me that morning with a rose, Diet Coke & a card on my doorstep that I saw on my way to work. He was a big fat sweetie and threw me a surprise dinner that night at Blue Plate Diner with some of the people I love most including 2 of my brothers! And not to go all materialistic on yo a', but he bought me an ELECTRIC BLANKET!!! I don't know if you realize how amazing these things are. I sleep at a perfectly warm cozy temperature every night. As opposed to having to stay in a little ball in the middle of my bed. I am so excited to sleep every night! Not really going to help my sleeping in problem though...
On Sunday, we went to B-town and celebrated with the family... cherry cheesecake and decorating the tree with my mom's colossal collection of ornaments. So fun!

-I met T-pain's parents for the first time over Thanksgiving. I was a scurrdy-cat... hello mama's boy!- so I had to impress. Nailed it.

Us at Music and The Spoken Word & my homemade cinnamon rolls(that's how I nailed it) YUM!

Just a couple things to get you through the day. I know it's been hard without me.

Maybe this picture will take you through to Wednesday...

I discovered Tyler's mustache from Halloween fused to the bottom of my purse... I discovered it after I shut my purse in the car door... who knows how long it had been there?!

Happy Tuesday!

you...doing that thing you do...

I am sick and tired....SICK AND TIRED of seeing the same blog post for the past month! And also sick and tired of saying I'll update this and that and i have all these plans for every event it's own post and blah de blah...but I'm going to be honest with myself and know that'll never happen, so i'm going to just have a conglomerate of things all mashed up into one. how fun. for you and for me!

February(minus what I already blogged about):

  • I was able to babysit my 4 little cousins, all of whom I absolutely adore, one weekend so my aunt and uncle could have a night out on the town! I never once regretted offering to watch the kids overnight, but I do remember thinking that I was quite brave to think I could handle bedtime for 4 kids just as smoothly as Aunt Kathryn can! It took me over an hour...what a slowpoke!

two of the munchkins... don't you just want to give that little gal a squeeze? :)

  • Managed to fit a lot of snowboarding in(Feb is the BEST time of the season I think!).... It was so much fun and I never knew how much I would love it... and also I don't stink at it near as much as I thought I would. Good thing, because I'm pretty sure "snowboarder" is basically a requirement of me to date this fella!

me and my gal Greta(also my Christmas gift....awww)

This was my very favorite day at the Canyons- isn't that scenery breathtaking?

Oh, no big deal just carving down that slope!(this is my first year, so humor me :))

can't wait for next year!

  • First walk in the park this year!

it was obviously great weather.

I really don't think tyler can get enough of these pictures!

this is what laying out in february looks like.
#1 notice my unusually long arm.
#2 how much do I look like my mom in this picture?

I never knew the love for a dog from a man could be so great. seriously! i love it.

Well folks, that about wraps February up in pictures for you!

Here is the token false promise sign off:
I will post all of the fabulous marvelous things I did in March SOON! promise with cherries on top:)

But wait: just one more picture. this is just too priceless to pass up!

Talk about perfect timing! Can I get an LOL?! (shhh don't tell that i posted this!)

SUMMATION OF THE SUMS OF SUMMER

All in all, this has been one heckuva fanta-tastic summer. I know it's not officially over, but since I do start school next Wednesday, I thought it apropros to reflect on how kick-trash my summer has been!!

I have...

  • Been to Real Salt Lake Soccer games
  • Overdosed on Cotton candy at the Bees game
  • Enjoyed the music of Jenny Lewis and Bon Iver at the Gallivan Center (Iron & Wine is performing there tomorrow! I can scarce hold my breath)
  • Laughed at the comedians of Wise Guys at Trolley Square
  • Hiked the mountains of Salt Lake City
  • Recently been cycling 'round town on a super sweet trek 8000, once to Cafe Normandie in Holladay. If you haven't been there, you need to take advantage of their patisseries!
  • Started a new job as a leasing agent at an apartment complex. LOVE IT.
  • Vacationed to Las Vegas with my bestie Heidi...(have you checked your money lately girl?:))
  • Learned that the post-divorce spending mindset is never a good idea.
  • Rediscovered my love for art and music.
  • Spent adequate amounts of time at the pool all greased up soakin' in the rays.
  • Camped at Deer Creek with my hilarious family
  • Hit the "waves" at Willard Bay. I still got the moves on a wakeboard.
  • Swung my first club on the golf course. Turns out that I love it!
  • Fallen for Bradley Cooper.
  • Grown to like my singles ward (still cringe a little). It's always better to only be there once if you can help it!
  • Made new friends.
  • Snapped tons of pictures.
  • Appreciated the little things a little bit more.
  • Played at the park.
  • Remembered how much I love reading!
  • come to the conclusion that this wonderful, relaxing enjoyable summer was just what the Earth doctor ordered.

My golf swing
I love how naturally athletic and coordinated I am.
His swing was in a little bit better form.
Ready to take Reba J out on the lake to fish!

Don't worry that Heidi & I wore the EXACT same shirt AND necklace on our last day at the Buckle!

My new friend the CATfish. Got me through many days at the Buck!

Couples pic! ha! Ever since I dropped my camera the resolution is all messed up. I'm noticing it more now that I'm not looking at a 3" screen...woopsy daisy!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!
Jenny Lewis

Not quite over yet! Holding on to the sweet crumbs that remain of the cinnamon roll that was my summer. Yup.
