// one chocolate cake, hold the candles & the song //

// dinner at Aristo //

// doing the creep at the Arts Festival //

// downtown Salt Lake City //

Last Friday was T-Pain's birthday. He is super anti-attention (what does that mean?) and doesn't want singing (for real he will kill) or candles. But he does want cake. And you know he secretly loves the special attention of dinner & gifts... Otherwise are you a human or an alien?

Anyway we celebrated with Aristo for dinner & the Urban Arts Festival downtown afterward, which is the quintessential summer activity: Superb people watching, perfect weather & live music.

Tyler's pretty cool.

A BIKE RIDE AROUND MIDWAY

Last week I went up to Heber to visit all of my ancestor's graves, and naturally we packed our bikes!
We ended up on a little bike trail in Midway. The weather was p-e-r-f-e-c-t, and Midway is so beautiful, especially this time of year. I wanted to put on an apron and sing around the hills.

I mean look at this covered bridge! Can you say charming?

and now, a series of unsuccessful pictures with my bike

 // decided I wanted my bike //

// ... //

// weird //

// aaaaand not even looking at the camera //

 Memorial Day was another win in the record books. Good way to officially kick off the summer!

tres!

Tyler & I met three years ago! I can't believe it's been that long, and at the same time it's flown by.
 He took me out for a delicious steak dinner @ Ruth's Chris, where we were told "Happy Anniversary" about a hundred times by all the staff.  Our waiter shouted "Mr & Mrs Miller!" when he came to our table, and we got dessert for free. It was slight overkill but I loved it.
Without being overly mushy about my boyfriend, he is a really great guy, I'm feel lucky to have him in my life, & I'm excited to see what the next year will bring.

Limone!

A few weeks back we checked out Limone, a new pizza place in the Fort Union area. You order it Cafe Rio style( I don't know what the real way is called), everything is fresh and suuuper tasty delight-delicious.  We got the Salsiccia pizza & Caprese salad. I've also had the Limone & it is amazing!

(I have to sneak pictures around here to avoid major eye rolls.)

Limone never disappoints. You have to go there!

In the doghouse

The boyf has been working in WY forever. By forever I mean he was gone for 2 1/2 weeks... home for 2 days, and now he's gone again for 2 weeks. The pup Roxy & I have to stick together! I go over there twice a day to walk/feed/love on the Roxster. Although Tyler has 4 roomies that are always around, if I don't make it over there one day, his heart breaks for the gal and he gets all sad. Its funny & I will admit cute.

The pictures below are from the weekend I spent at my parents' house for Conference. She is usually such a good dog and seriously never barks. But these two days about killed me.
A few reasons:

1. She is not allowed in the Jardine household.
2. She is an inside dog. Such an inside dog in fact, that she cannot even stand to be outside by herself. I would have to sit by the window so she could see me, otherwise she would bark & cry nonstop. It broke my heart and infuriated me.
3. She thinks she is a human  royalty.
4. My little sister's bunny was torturing Roxy by being in his cage(bottom left picture), safely out of Roxy's grasp. It drove her NUTS.

I think we were both really happy to get Roxy home so she could lounge on her bed all day long.

I just had to throw this picture into the mix. My mom & sister color-coordinated their stash of markers, crayons & pencils, perfectly arranging them on the table.

Not one hour later, does my mom try to wipe the table off with this result:

...oh Jardine clumsiness, what would we do without you? :)

it's the little things

Like when you have a very fancy lunch made just for you.

In case you can't see what's on the menu it says:
  • Ribeye steak (rare medium rare-my FAVORITE)
  • Leftover powder potatoes
  • Canned green beans
  • Tasty buttery rolls
:)

said potatoes and rolls(not sure what the PB is doing there)...

Tyler was sad because he didn't think the steak was rare-medium-rare.

But it was absolutely delicious and I left one happy girl.
thanks for making my day!

lots o hugs

February. we were good to each other this year. a few warm days to remind me that spring is coming, and a lot of cold ones to tell me that winter isn't quite over.

A lovely valentine's day. if anyone wants to feel like the sappiest person on the planet, do 14 days of valentine's for your significant other... i feel like a sap just typing it! But it was actually really fun and I'm pretty sure he loved the daily things. On day 1 he was like, "oh great, 14 days of this?" But when I accidentally forgot day 8, it was a whole different story!
I was surprised with a tasty dinner at faustina and a magical evening(for me anyway:)) at the ballet. That man did a real good job at doing all the silly valentine's things that i love!

There are a few more highlights of my month that I need to blog about, but I'm at work(shh don't tell anyone i'm blogging right now) and need to load the pictures from the camera. so I promise to all 4 of you that I will post those soon!

Other than that, I'm spending most of my time working and going to school. I need a vacation!

What is everyone else up to?
