Recollection Collection

I have kept a journal for as long as I was able to hold a Lisa Frank multi-colored pen in my little left hand. Journals are an exceptional way to keep records of the important events, people and thoughts that we have in our lives. My reasoning for keeping a consistent journal is that I loved myself. I wanted to be remembered gosh danget! Even when I was 12, writing in my precious moments diary, I was thinking about how my great-grandchildren would read it someday and think, "WOW! What a fantastic woman and role model for us to mold our lives after." After reading a few of my journal entries, I'm not so sure that they will think that.

I thought it woud be fun to share a little morsel of my entries every week with you from one of my journals, just so you can have a taste of this little treat I like to call my life.

The recollection collection consists of 4 different parts: Lisa Frank, Precious Moments, Daisy, and Mary.

Lisa Frank

The first journal entry I EVER made..

Dear Diary,

I have a next door neighbor and I love him. His name is Kyle R. My best friend, Charisse M., loves him too. Kyle is nice, cute, funny, mischievous, etc. He lives at Blank N Highland, Brigham City, Utah.

Back to Charisse. The reason I like her is because she's cool, nice, fun, funny, etc. I think Kyle likes us too.

Dear Diary,

I haven't seen Kyle all day. I miss him ALOT. But I have seen Charisse. I'm waiting for her to call me. I don't know what to write.

Oh great. BOYS. gotta go.

  1. Oh that is so funny. Mine is mostly a diary of what I ate for lunch that day. :) I love that you keep a journal. Keep it up, you will always treasure it.

  2. Ahhh! I was so excited to see your old diary entries! I remember them so clearly! How hilarious.

  3. That is so funny. Oh, this is Jamie (Tingey) Braegger by the way. I read your blog. I hope you don't have any of my babysitting adventures written in those journals....:)

You're so sweet to leave me a li'l message.
